The Narrow Road
Jesus spoke of a narrow road that leads to life — a way that few find (Matthew 7 :14). This path isn't about belonging to a camp or a title; it's about belonging to Christ. When we follow Him, we often discover that loyalty to Jesus sometimes places us outside what's comfortable, familiar, or widely accepted.
"Narrow is the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." — Matthew 7 :14
Outside the Camp
Hebrews 13 :13 invites us to "go to Him outside the camp, bearing His reproach." Jesus was rejected, crucified outside the city walls, and He still calls disciples to follow Him beyond the safety of man-made systems — to simple, living fellowship with Himself and His people.
"Let us go to Him outside the camp, bearing His reproach." — Hebrews 13 :13
This doesn't mean despising people in "the camp." It means loving them sincerely — while refusing to make any human authority, label, or organization the center. Our center is Christ alone.
Love, Humility, Truth
The narrow road is not harsh; it is holy. Outside the camp, Jesus teaches us to walk in love (John 13 :34), in humility (Philippians 2 :3), and in truth (John 8 :31–32). These are not slogans but daily practices — the fruit of abiding in Him.
"By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another." — John 13 :35
Walking This Out
What does it look like? We keep Jesus' words. We gather simply with other believers. We let the Scriptures test our traditions. We forgive, we reconcile, we serve. We remember: there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2 :5).
"There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." — 1 Timothy 2 :5
The narrow road is not a lonely road — Jesus walks it with us. And along the way, He gathers a people who belong to Him alone.
